Terms of Service
Her city, your world.
Effective Date: May 2026 · Version 1.0
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Co-Sister website and mobile application (collectively, the “Platform”), including SisterBase (space-sharing matching) and SisterGuide (peer experience sharing). By creating an account or using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
- ◆The Platform is exclusively available to individuals who identify as women and are 18 years of age or older.
- ◆You must complete identity verification (government-issued photo ID) before accessing member-only features.
- ◆You may maintain only one account, and your account is personal and non-transferable.
2. Nature of the Service
Co-Sister is a matching and communication platform. We connect verified members but are not a party to any stay, meeting, or exchange arranged between members. We do not own, inspect, or manage any accommodation offered through SisterBase, and we do not employ or supervise any member offering SisterGuide sessions.
Members are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of any match, complying with local laws (including visa, tax, and short-term-stay regulations applicable to them), and for their own conduct during a stay or session.
3. Verification & Account Status
- ◆Verification badges indicate that documents were checked at a point in time; they are not a guarantee of any member's conduct.
- ◆We may assign account statuses (e.g. Warning / Restricted / Banned) under our community moderation rules. Statuses may be visible to other members; underlying case details remain internal.
- ◆We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
4. Community Rules & Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- ◆Misrepresent your identity, gender, age, or verification materials, or allow anyone else to use your account
- ◆Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger any member, on or off the Platform
- ◆Take payment, request deposits, or conduct commercial lodging outside the Platform's intended non-commercial exchange
- ◆Record, screenshot, or share private conversations or SisterGuide sessions without explicit mutual consent
- ◆Use the Platform for solicitation, advertising, data scraping, or any unlawful purpose
- ◆Circumvent safety features, moderation decisions, or attempt to access another member's data
Violations are handled under our moderation mechanism and may result in warnings, feature restrictions, or permanent removal, at our reasonable discretion.
5. Stays, Agreements & Cancellations
- ◆A stay is confirmed only after both members sign the in-Platform Stay Agreement.
- ◆Contact details and precise addresses are exchanged only after mutual confirmation, and cease to be accessible after the stay closes.
- ◆Either member may cancel before check-in; repeated late cancellations may affect account standing.
- ◆In an emergency, use the in-app emergency feature and contact local emergency services first.
6. Membership & Payments
Certain features may require a paid membership plan. Prices are shown before purchase and are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full card details. Except where required by law, membership fees are non-refundable once the billing period begins. Platform credits (e.g. Trust Seeds) are internal, non-monetary, and cannot be bought, sold, or redeemed for cash.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post (profiles, stories, reviews, photos). You grant Co-Sister a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and reasonably promote that content on the Platform in accordance with the visibility setting you choose. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
8. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any member, accommodation, or session will meet your expectations, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Co-Sister shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss or damage arising from interactions or stays between members. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the membership fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) EUR 100.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access where you materially breach these Terms, where required by law, or to protect the safety of the community. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licenses, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you by email and post a notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law & Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.), without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Taipei, Taiwan, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
Brave women, shared homes, one world.
